"The oldest referenced grape in the world (mentioned by Aristotle, Homer, and other ancient Greek philosophers), cultivated for centuries on the volcanic soil of Lemnos island: Limnio. Farmed without irrigation by the artisanal grower Garalis and his family, it is vinified naturally, with no additions and wild fermented, unfiltered, and with few sulfites at bottling. It spends 6 months in 3rd year oak barrels. It expresses itself through fresh red fruit and herbs on the nose, and a lively fruity palate with noticeable tannins, balanced by a pleasant oily thickness. Pair with traditional Greek moussaka or pastitsio."
