"Established by his father in the 1930's, Luigi Giordano was among the first movers when he began bottling wine under his own label in 1958. The certified organic estate is now managed by his daughter, Laura, and grandson, Matteo, who split duties in the vineyard and cellar. Their Dolcetto vines were planted in 1971 in the Qualin subregion, prized for its delicately aromatic wines. This wine spends 7-8 days fermenting on the skin before completing fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by four months aging in concrete tanks. Medium bodied with gentle tannin, the nose presents aromas of violet and blackberry followed by a palate of red plum, strawberry and rustic earthy tones. Wait on line for hours to enjoy it with a large pie with basil from Lucali!"
