Established in 1975, Jansz stepped up their sparkling wine game by partnering with Louis Roederer in 1986 to make a Methode Champenoise that’s a classic blend of 53% Chardonnay 44% Pinot Noir 3% Pinot Meunier from cool climate vineyards across Tasmania. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity and frothy bubbles, it displays aromas of honeysuckle, brioche and citrus with a subtle strawberry note. Delicate fruits and creaminess wash through the mouth leaving a lingering finish of citrus and nougat. A versatile party sparkling, Jansz pairs well with everything from appetizers and charcuterie to chocolate desserts but the best is clearly a Devil Dog.
