From vines averaging over 100 years old (planted 1900-1923), this Chénas shows remarkable complexity. Lovely rose-like florality with cherry-strawberry jam, peony, and subtle pepper. Medium-bodied, smooth and refined with gentle tannin and juicy acidity. Micro-grained tannin structure with plenty of salinity in the clinging, persistent finish. A standout expression of one of Beaujolais's most underrated crus.
