"Unlitro is a fresh, medium-bodied Tuscan blend of 50% Alicante Nero, 30% Sangiovese, 10% Carignano, 9% Mourvedre, 1% Alicante Bouschet from lower elevation, coastal influenced vineyards surrounding the town of Ampeleia. Each varietal is vinified separately with a small portion (10%) undergoing carbonic maceration. The rest is either whole berry or crushed prior to a short 5-7 day maceration. The final blend is then aged for 6 months in concrete tank. Loaded with ripe dried cherry flavors, soft tannins and subtle earthy, floral and herbal notes, this is a crushable crowdpleaser in a generous liter. Pairs perfectly with beef carpaccio and Parmigiano or a grilled chicken salad with romaine, arugula, avocado, tomato, toasted almonds, dried berries and feta."
