With vineyards located on the north shore of Lake Neusiedl, the picturesque beauty of the region is captured in this medium-to-light-bodied, natural white. Grown on limestone and gravel soils, the Blanca! is 60% Grüner Veltliner, 35% Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), and 5% Muscat Ottonel. Farmed biodynamically and fermented spontaneously in stainless steel with seven days of skin contact and seven months on the lees, which provides texture and grip but not quite enough extraction to call it orange. Crisp and clean with enticing but restrained pineapple, melon and citrus aromas and flavors, this is just a lovely, satisfying, versatile white that’s just off the beaten path. The perfect companion for the park, stoop or backyard, enjoy with a really good avocado toast and smoked salmon on multigrain or Brettlejause, a classic Austrian cured meat, cheese and veggie platter with jams and spreads.
