A profound wine, richly flavoured and complex, very precise with notes of coffee, spice, red berries and cocoa with a fine tannic structure controlled and balanced. 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio, aged 24 months in large Austrian oak barrels and one year in bottle. From north facing vineyards at 700-750m altitude with vines 30 to 100 years old, traditionally trained in goblet system.
